Academic Standards

St Pius X Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ is a Catholic school for boys conducted in the Edmund Rice tradition that embraces a diversity of student abilities and talents. It promotes the pursuit of knowledge, a love of learning and a commitment to personal excellence.

The Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ is justifiably proud of its academic standards. Results in the National Assessment Program of Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) and Higher School Certificate are excellent and consistently well above the state average.

A variety of Academic Awards are offered to reward academic excellence and effort and encourage students to work to achieve their own personal best.

The Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ has a successful Gifted and Talented program that is designed to extend and enrich the learning of our most able students.

Regular homework, revision and study is part of Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ policy. There is systematic advice for students on study habits, including study days and tutorials, in keeping with best practice in Boys’ Education.

St Pius X Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ regularly achieves HSC results of the highest level.
